Chad, Bebe and I made it back to VA on Friday. The drive was pretty uneventful and not too bad. We got to the marina about 3 pm so we could check in with the service dept and say hello to everyone. They got quite a bit of the work done…still a work in progress but the boat is running really well! This marina is so quiet – even weekends are not busy! The weather was a bit iffy over the weekend so we weren’t able to take the boat out…neither of us has driven this boat in over a month! 10-15 mph winds make it a bit scary for us newbies!
We were able to get more of our work done on the boat (will it ever end??) and plan our first real trip for later in the week! Hoping we can leave on Tuesday for a few days, after all the afternoon/evening storms roll thru. Very disappointed that we still don’t have a mattress or carpet. 🙁 Very glad we brought our camping air mattresses! Bluewater Canvas is thinking maybe sometime next week – fingers crossed! We may even have our new name sticker/logo put on at same time! Details on the new logo later.
